Having helped define the refillable pod kit with their hugely popular Nord and RPM40 devices, Smok have returned to their no-frills Novo pod kit and given it a welcome overhaul, creating one of the best pocket vapes on the market.
The beauty of the Novo 2 is in its simplicity. There are no buttons to adjust or coils to fiddle with; the Novo 2 is activated by inhalation only and the coils are of a piece with the pod, which are disposable. This makes using the Novo 2 effortless, and provides a satisfying, draw-activated vape that will especially appeal to new vapers and recent ex-smokers.
To refill, simply pluck out the pod, turn upside down, refill with your favourite e-liquid and replace. A simple coloured LED light flashes green for high battery, orange for medium and red for low battery whenever the device is vaped or is charging. The Novo 2 also features short circuit and low voltage protection and an 8-second fire time. And with an improved 800mAh battery, the Novo 2 will keep going and going.
The Novo 2 kit comes with 2 x 2ml pods. The 1.4ohm dual coil is ideal for smooth mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping and a 1.0ohm coil can produce satisfying blooms of clouds and out of this world flavour. Both coils are ideal for classic, high PG, 50/50 and nicotine salt eliquids. With its ergonomically designed whistle-style drip tip, the Novo 2 is extremely comfortable to vape.
And as one of the smallest, high-performance devices of its kind, the Novo 2 is the sort of take-anywhere companion that will suit every type of vaper.
Please note:
When filling your pod with e-liquid for the first time, allow the pod to sit for ten minutes before use. This will allow the e-liquid to better saturate the wicking material, a type of cotton, to prevent dry hits and ensure the best flavour and performance from your coil.
